Supporting Our Troops and the Heifer International Fundraiser 12-19-07
| Thanks to Mrs. Diane Luscombe for her amazing work with her advanced and accelerated students on the Supporting our Troops and on the Heifer International fundraisers.
All of the ROMS students collected supplies that our troops might need in Iraq. These included bathroom supplies, comfort items, as well as stationary for letters home. Thanks to all of the ROMS students who participated in this worthwhile endeavor. You rock! |

The Heifer Project Sharing & Caring embodies Heifer’s belief that global problems can be solved if all people are committed to sharing what they have and caring about others. Sustainability & Self-reliance is necessary for the long-term success of projects. Heifer can only fund a project for a limited time so the families Heifer works with must plan to support themselves. Improving the Environment includes such agroecological techniques as improving soil fertility with animal manure, promoting forestation, respecting and encouraging biodiversity, monitoring watershed conditions and minimizing erosion. |

Thanks to all the parents who baked our bake sale items. I am sure students helped! Thanks to Joan Devera, Scott Moore, and Patrice Walsh for helping at the bake sale. A special thanks to Patrice Walsh for donating $100 toward the Heifer Project--1/5 of the cow! |
