Beaumont Saturday Education Program

High school students get a taste of medicine

Weekends may be a golden opportunity for high school students to catch up on their sleep, but thanks to a partnership between Beaumont Hospitals and Oakland Schools, teens interested in learning more about health care careers will want to rise and shine for the Beaumont Saturday Series beginning in March.

From March 8 through May 17, high school sophomores, juniors and seniors will have hands-on opportunities to learn about emerging technologies and career opportunities in health care.

"We're pleased to partner with Oakland Schools on this wonderful program," says Linda Kruso, Beaumont's director of Workforce Planning. "Today, health care is the State's largest employer. It's imperative we take an active role in nurturing tomorrow's doctors, nurses, technicians and therapists."
