Kindergarten Roundups

The Royal Oak Neighborhood Schools will host Kindergarten Roundups at each of the District's six elementary schools December 1-15. Roundups provide a time for parents of incoming kindergarten students to visit the school; meet the kindergarten teacher; and enroll their child. Parents are encouraged to attend and see the building, staff, and curriculum that their child will experience.

Roundups will be held:

• Tuesday, December 1, 7:00 p.m. - Northwood Elementary, 926 W. 12 Mile Rd.
• Wednesday, December 2, 7:00 p.m. - Keller Elementary, 1505 N. Campbell Rd.
• Wednesday, December 2, 7:00 p.m. - Upton Elementary, 4400 Mandalay Ave.
• Monday, December 7, 6:30 p.m. - Oakland Elementary, 2415 E. Brockton Ave.
• Wednesday, December 9, 7:00 p.m. - Addams Elementary, 2222 W. Webster Rd.
• Tuesday, December 15, 6:45 p.m. - Oak Ridge Elementary, 506 E. 13 Mile Rd.

The Royal Oak School District currently offers all-day Kindergarten at Oakland and Upton Elementary Schools. Helen Keller Elementary features the International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme.

To register a child for school, parents must provide:

• Two proofs of residency - current utility bill, lease agreement, tax statement, cable bill, mortgage statement, notarized affidavit of residence
• Birth certificate (original or certified)
• Driver's license (of parent or guardian)
• Immunization records
• Vision screening
• Completed enrollment packet (available at Board Office or any school).
