APRIL 10, 2008 MEETING HIGHLIGHTS

1.         Board of Education Meeting Calendar Revisions

  • April 24, 2008 - Addition of Discussion Meeting at 5:00 p.m.
  • May 22, 2008 - Meeting changed to May 21, 2008
  • June 12, 2008 - Meeting will be held at Churchill Community Education Center, 707 Girard

2.         Response to Intervention (RTI) Update on early identification of at risk students, testing and progress monitoring three times per year in reading, writing, math, and spelling        

3.         Fall 2007 MEAP scores show Royal Oak Neighborhood Schools earned some of the highest scores in Oakland County in English Language Arts and Math and were exceedingly above the State average

4.          Announcement of upcoming events:

  • May 31 - Royal Oak High School Graduation, Freedom Hill, 5:00 p.m.
  • June 23 - Royal Oak Foundation Golf Outing, Red Run
