Spring Vocal Music Concert
Welcome Northwood families to a Spring Vocal Music Concert!
FEATURING: "A History of African-American Music"
The 4th and 5th graders along with the 3rd graders in Mrs. Matynka's class look forward to entertaining you under the direction of Ms. Paree, Vocal Music Teacher, at ROMS on Tues. May 20 at 7:00 PM!
Students have been studying African-American music from its roots of Africa, through American History, to the present. Their concert will feature African-American spirituals such as Gospel, Jazz, and Motown music. In addition, the concert will feature soloists, small group performances, and narrative dialogue.
Singers will be taking a field trip on the morning of the concert to rehearse at ROMS. Parents should watch for permission slips to come home soon. Return these slips to your student's classroom teacher.
On the night of the concert, TUESDAY, MAY 20, students should dress in their finest concert attire and must report to their teacher in the "The Gathering Place" at ROMS NO LATER THAN 6:30 PM.
