ROMS Performing Arts Department Announces
The Royal Oak Middle School (ROMS) Performing Arts Department announces its Spring Concert Series with an array of performances and ensembles. The series is open to the public and admission is free.
Thursday, May 15 - ROMS 6th, 7th, and 8th Grade All Band Performance at 7:00 p.m. in the Dondero Auditorium. Janet Von Eberstein and Keith Kohring will lead the 250 band members performing pop, rock, big band and classical selections.
Thursday, May 29 - ROMS 6th, 7th, and 8th Grade All Orchestra Performance at 7:00 p.m. in the Dondero Auditorium. Anna Richert will lead the 150 orchestra members. A highlight of the evening will be music from the kids' favorite films.
Wednesday, June 4 - ROMS 6th, 7th, and 8th Grade All Choral Performance at 7:00 p.m. in the Dondero Auditorium. Diane Mehringer and Susan Paree will lead 300 vocalists in song and dance.
Friday, June 6 - ROMS presents "Jazz on the Patio". The 6th, 7th and 8th Grade Jazz Bands will perform an outdoor concert. This is a special evening to show case Jazz in Royal Oak Schools. The Royal Oak High School Jazz Band will also perform. Attendees are invited to bring lawn chairs and blankets and relax to the smooth sound of jazz.
