BOARD OF EDUCATION

MAY 8, 2008 MEETING HIGHLIGHTS

1.         Best of Royal Oak - Presentation by the Keller Elementary School Chinese Club.

2.         2008-2009 Budget Presentation. Adoption of the Budget will take place at the June 12 Board of Education Meeting.

3.         Staff and Teacher Appreciation Day was observed throughout the District May 6.

4.         Superintendent Thomas Moline addressed 20j and the resources necessary to meet state and federal standards.

4.         ROMS will initiate action research next year into the International Baccalaureate Middle Years Program (IB-MYP). Eleven teachers and administrators will be participating in Level 1 training.

8.         Presentation by third party substitute service provider Professional Contract Management Incorporated.
