Staff & Students: The ROHS Drama Club proudly presents "Little Shop of Horrors". Show dates are: Thursday, November 13 through Sunday, November 16. Tickets are on sale during all lunch hours. Any questions, see Mrs. Ochoa in room 308.
Students & Staff: On Saturday, November 22, 2008, Royal Oak High School Student Council will be holding its first annual Turkey Trot. This will be a 5K race that will benefit underprivileged families of the Royal Oak community. The race starts at 8:00 a.m. and the cost to participate is $15.00. You can get an entry form from Student Council members or outside of room 240. We hope to see everyone come together in an effort to help the community.
Bowlers: The ROHS Bowling Team tryouts will be held on Thursday, November 20, at Thunderbird Lanes in Troy. Starting time for tryouts will be 3:00 p.m. All students trying out for the Bowling Team MUST have their eligibility card. The cost for tryouts is $6.00. Contact Mr. Milazzo or Mr. Drilich for more details.
Staff & Students: This year we are again sponsoring "Coats for the Cold" for the Oakland County Sheriff's office. If you would like to donate a coat (new or used) to a worthy cause, you will find the drop box located in the Main Office.
Sophomores: If you have demonstrated leadership skills and are interested in attending the Hoby Leadership Conference as Royal Oak High School's ambassador, pick up an application today in the Counseling Office. Deadline is Friday, November 14.
Students: Applications for nominations to the U.S. Service Academies (Navel Academy, West Point, Merchant Marine Academy) are due November 21, 2008. Contact Mr. Stemas in the Counseling Office or Congressman Sander Levin's office at www.house.gov/levin.com
TO ALL STUDENTS: WHAT ARE YOU DOING ON FEBRUARY BREAK? Join us on our second annual Alternative February Break trip to New Orleans to help in Hurricane Katrina relief! Yup, it is a rough week of work and dirt, all for one of the best causes we know: helping people reclaim their homes. Students & Staff: Monday, November 24th will be the last day to purchase a 2009 ROHS yearbook. If you do not pre-order a yearbook, there will not be one available for purchase in the spring. Buy it while you can for $70. See Mr. Miller in room 132.
Football Players: There is a mandatory football meeting for all players on Friday, November 14 at 3:15 p.m. We will meet in the big gym.
Students: Remember - Free tutoring is available in room 140 between 2:30 - 3:30 p.m., every Monday and Thursday.
