Students & Staff: On November 26, there will be a 1/2 day of school. The time schedule for that day is as follows:

Students & Staff: On Saturday, November 22, 2008, Royal Oak High School Student Council will be holding its first annual Turkey Trot. This will be a 5K race that will benefit underprivileged families of the Royal Oak community. The race starts at 8:00 a.m. and the cost to participate is $15.00. You can get an entry form from Student Council members or outside of room 240. We hope to see everyone come together in an effort to help the community.
Bowlers: The ROHS Bowling Team tryouts will be held today, November 20, at Thunderbird Lanes in Troy. Starting time for tryouts will be 3:00 p.m. All students trying out for the Bowling Team MUST have their eligibility card. The cost for tryouts is $6.00. Contact Mr. Milazzo or Mr. Drilich for more details.
Staff & Students: This year we are again sponsoring "Coats for the Cold" for the Oakland County Sheriff's office. If you would like to donate a coat (new or used) to a worthy cause, you will find the drop box located in the Main Office.
Students: The canned food drive is being extended until next Tuesday, November 25. Our goal of 1200 cans has not been met so keep bringing them in. As of right now, Mr. Chisnell's class is in the lead with 560 cans. Let's show the Salvation Army that Royal Oak High School cares! We will pick up cans Friday after school and Tuesday after school. The winner will be announced on Wednesday. Thanks for your contributions.
Students: NHS is collecting toys for the Salvation Army. Please bring new unwrapped toys or games to the Student Service Center by Friday, December 5.
TO ALL STUDENTS: Alternative February Break - the time to sign up is now! We are heading for Galveston, Texas, to help the victims of Hurricane Ike. Join us by completing the registration forms and paying a $35.00 deposit on the trip by December 10. Forms and more information are available in room 105 from Mr. Chisnell.
Students & Staff: Monday, November 24th will be the last day to purchase a 2009 ROHS yearbook. If you do not pre-order a yearbook, there will not be one available for purchase in the spring. Buy it while you can for $70. See Mr. Miller in room 132.
Students & Staff: The Raven’s Nest has cookies for you to buy. Come during your lunch and try our tasty chocolate chip or sugar cookies.
Juniors & Seniors: A three-session ACT test preparation is available Dec. 28, 29, 30. Each session is 1 1/2 hours. Course cost is $150.00 and will focus on the math section. More information is available in the Counseling Office.
Seniors: Seniors that participated in the fall fundraiser - your orders will be delivered today, November 20, in the cafeteria. Pick-up time is scheduled for 2:30 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. You are responsible for picking up your order.
Students & Staff: This Saturday, November 22, ROHS will host the Champion Finals for the Oakland County Competitive Robotics Association. The competition will be held in the main gym from 9:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. Admission is FREE. You are invited to come and see what it is all about. Come help support Royal Oak's team. The team is in the running for the County Championship!
Students & Staff: The November Herald will be on sale Tuesday, November 25, during 4th hour and during all lunches. The cost is just $1.00. The Herald always features our schools hottest bachelors and bachelorettes, puzzles, and around the school news. The November edition is full of Thanksgiving fun, so don't forget to buy one.
Boys Interested in Running Track: There will be a short informational meeting Tuesday, November 25th, in Coach Barnett's room, 314. Even if you ar doing a winter sport stop by to pick up the information.
