Oakland Elementary offers a variety of extra-curricular activities for its students including the opportunity to be involved in the daily live television broadcast, Lego-League membership, Service Squad and Safety Patrol positions. On site before and after school day care is available through our Latch-Key program. Extended Kindergarten can be arranged through the district's Acorn program.
Oakland also houses the county's Hearing Impaired program.
In addition, our very supportative PTA provides a school newspaper, the "Roadrunner Review," outstanding cultural presentations and enrichment activities as well as social events throughout the year.
Next year, Oakland will provide all-day Kindergarten classes. Check with the School Board Office for details about enrollment in this program.
