Hours:
9:00A.M. - 12:06P.M. and 12:54P.M.-4:00P.M.
The first bell will ring at 8:55 A.M. and the tardy bell will ring at 9:00 A.M.
Students should be in their classes at that time.
Absence Procedure
Please use the following procedure if your child is to be absent from school:
A. Call 248 542-9289 (Safety Check Line) anytime of the day or night before the absence.
B. Following the recorded message, there will be a beep.
After the beep, please give the following information:
(1) the name of child; (2) the name of child's teacher;
(3) the nature of illness or absence; (4) if your child
will be ordering lunch on the day of return (please
state A or B lunch)
C. All afternoon absences, including those of afternoon
kindergarten children, should be called on the Safety
Check Line.

Lunch is from 12:06 P.M.- 12:54 P.M. Students who go home for lunch will leave the building at 12:06 P.M. from their class entrance door. ALL students returning from lunch at 12:54 P.M. will enter at the front door near the office.
PREORDERED Hot Lunches are available for $2.25 (subject to change) Milk is always available for 40 cents. Reduced price lunches are available, if approved. Applications available in the office. If hot lunch is NOT preordered we can NOT guarantee a hot lunch for your child.
Students may purchase lunch in the cafeteria or bring their lunches from home. Extra milk and A la Carte items may be purchased. Students may pay for their lunches on a daily or weekly (Monday Only) basis. Lunch orders are taken the day prior to purchase and MUST be paid for on the day received.
Latchkey Information:
Latchkey is provided for Oakland through the Young Oaks program. If you are interested in the program, please call Addams Early Childhood Center (Latch-Key Director) at 248 288-3047.
After School Programs:
Salter Center has supervised activities for students after school. You may contact the Boys and Girls Club at 248 544-4166 or 248 544-4228
