Future City--National Middle School Competition, 01-15-08

Welcome to Royal Oak Middle School’s Future City, Nexus!  This is a national middle school competition where students get together and design a city of the future.  This year’s theme is to incorporate nanotechnology to increase efficiency.  The ROMS team worked hard and designed Nexus City in Siberia!  Brrrrrr!

The mission of the National Engineers Week Future City Competition is to provide a fun and exciting educational engineering program for seventh and eighth grade students that combines a stimulating engineering challenge with a "hands-on" application to present their vision of a city of the future.

Thanks to Mrs. Donna Tarsavage for her hard work and dedication in sponsoring this club!

Update!
We would like to congratulation Donna Tarsavage and the Future City Team.  They earned first place at the state (Michigan) completion in Novi on January 22, 2008 and are invited to complete in the national competition in Washington D.C.!  Well done!
