Whittier has a long history of striving for academic excellence and for providing a safe, nurturing environment for children. We believe that a strong partnership between parents and school is essential to ensure educational success for children. Parents are invited to become involved in school in whatever way appeals to them.
Whittier PTA offers many opportunities for families to participate. Feel free to volunteer to work in classrooms, on fieldtrips or with clerical tasks. Whittier also offers many family activities each year including our ‘World Tour’ ethnic dinner, ‘Turn off the TV Week’ and ‘Family Fun Fair.’
If you haven’t yet, stop by the volunteer room in the school. It’s a very comfortable place to be. The coffeepot is always on.
