ROYAL OAK -- Children greeted visitors at Keller Elementary Schoolwith a hearty Xin Nian Kuai Le as they rang in the Chinese New Year on Thursday.
The event was highlighted by a parade led by a yellow-faced dragon with bulging black eyes to keep away bad spirits.
First-graders Katherine Woznicki and Daniel Romito weren't confused about wishing everyone a happy new year in February.
