Keller Elementary
is a candidate International Baccalaureate School offering the Primary Year Program to all its students. Thematic units of instruction weave together and connect information and ideas from all the traditional content areas providing opportunities for learners to construct meaning, principally through guided inquiry. In addition, this program promotes the development of students’ emotional, social, and physical needs. The Learner Profile, a set of characteristics nurtured in every student, is addressed throughout the school day by the entire staff. This enables children to develop sensitivity to the experiences of others and take socially responsible actions as a result of their learning experiences.

The mission of Helen Keller Elementary School is to establish and maintain an educational community that empowers all students to become principled, independent inquirers who are socially responsible global citizens.
