Elements of an Educational Development Plan

An EDP is an educational plan that students develop in conjunction with their counselor.  The students use the plan to integrate their high school program with their career pathway goals.

This plan includes the following elements:

  1. Personal Data
  2. Career Goals
  3. Educational/Training Goals
  4. Career Pathway Assessment Highlights
  5. Career Awareness/Exploration and work-based activities
  6. Course selection
  7. Parent Endorsement

Course Catalog - This provides a description of the Royal Oak High School's curriculum.  This catalog provides detailed descriptions of all courses offered, their prerequisites, the length of the course and the number of credits available.  Other types of information included are NCAA requirements, Oakland Technical Center Courses, President's Council Requirements for four-year public universities.

Diploma Policy - This policy will tell you the course and credit requirements for graduation.

MOIS - The Michigan Occupational Information System is a career planning tool sponsored by the Michigan Department of Career Development is a department of Michigan Department of Education.

President's Council - Course requirements for entrance into all Michigan 4-year Colleges and Universities.

NCAA Initial Eligibility Clearinghouse - This site gives student information about the registration process for the NCAA.
