Welcome to Ancient History and Geography of the Eastern Hemisphere 

Over the course of the year we will examine the physical and cultural geography of Asia, Africa, and the Middle East.  We will also take a look at early civilization in those regions.  So our focus will be on both culture and history.  Rather than do this region by region, we will take this on thematically.  For example, some themes we will look at are government and economic systems, religion, the growing food crisis, global conflict, and so on.  In each case, we will compare and contrast regions.

The best thing about learning Geography is that we can approach it from so many different directions. Some of these approaches will include field trips, simulations, movies, and even guest teachers.
