How many of you remember Sonny Elliot? He made the weather fun. How many of you remember shoveling 12 feet of snow in one day? (and of course walking up hill to school both ways) Weather is still found in the atmosphere, but it continues to change. “Don’t like the weather? Just stick around for 5 minutes” said Mark Twain So what are the things that change weather? Did you know that wind is moving air? Sounds simple enough, but there is more. How do you use a weather map? What is the atmosphere made out of? Why does everyone say it is hot when it is humid? And does the green house problem still exist if you are not a plant?
