High school credit records
and counseling will be available Monday and Tuesday evenings from
5:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. at the Churchill Community Education Center.
Adult credit students must
see our counselor each term, and during their final term.
The Oakland Technical Center - Southeast Campus (OTC) day program will have
limited openings for adults. Contact Student Counseling at (248) 588-5050
to inquire.
The Winter Bulletin will list the Adult High School Credit Program classes which
will begin in January.
The program and its administration are not responsible for any activities that
take place outside of the class between the teacher and participants.

Royal Oak's program for
adults who wish to complete the requirements for a high school diploma (for
students 16 years of age and older). Non-high school graduates who are not
attending school during the day can take classes free of charge. Graduates
and students who attend school during the day must pay a tuition fee for evening
classes. High school students must bring a signed permission slip from
their high school counselor.
Two 15-week semesters are offered between September and May. Call
248-588-5050 ext. 205 now to schedule an appointment for registration.

This course is designed to prepare students
for the G.E.D. test. The focus of this class will be on writing skills,
the essay, and math. Test taking skills will also be taught. A
variety of methods will be utilized, including cooperative learning, hands-on
activities, and individualized instruction. Earn one unit of credit while
you prepare for the G.E.D. test. Classes are free.

To take the GED tests, you must pre-register in person,
be 18 years of age or older, and your high school class must have graduated.
You must show picture I.D. at the time of registration and prior to each test
session.
This is a battery of five tests which cost $35.00 each
($175.00 total). The cost is $75.00 if you take the GED Preparation Classes with
us and meet the attendance and testing requirements. There are no refunds on registration for the GED test.
The high school equivalency certificate is granted by the Michigan Department of
Education.
Class size is limited to 25 people.

various media.
