The Foreign language classes are divided into 3 sessions each year, Fall (Level 1), Winter (Level II), Spring (Level III).  Improve your foreign language skills.  Form grammatically correct sentences, and respond orally in another language.

REMINDER: Register BEFORE the first day of your desired class to eliminate the risk of cancellations.

BEGINNING FRENCH II - This class is a continuation of our Beginning French I class to introduce the French language and culture.  Students will learn basic vocabulary, grammar, and customs. Lessons, based on real life situations, will be taught through listening, speaking, reading, and writing.  The required text, "Learn French the Fast and Fun Way!" (third edition), by Elizabeth Bourguin Leete is available for purchase at Borders (amazon.com) and Barnes & Noble (barnesandnoble.com).

BEGINNING FRENCH III - This class is a continuation of our Beginning French II class.

CONTINUING FRENCH II - This class is a follow-up to Beginning French II and a continuation of our Continuing French I class.   Students will learn additional vocabulary and grammar, and correct pronunciation will be practiced.  A greater knowledge of the French culture will be acquired.  The required texts, "Learn French the Fast and Fun Way!" ($19.00) (third edition), by Elizabeth Bourguin Leete and "Lisons Coome CA!" ($22.00) are available for purchase at Borders (amazon.com) and Barnes & Noble (barnesandnoble.com).

CONTINUING FRENCH III - This class is a continuation of our Continuing French II class.

BEGINNING SPANISH II - This class is a continuation of our Beginning Spanish I class.  You will learn to speak, read, write, and understand, as well as be able to communicate in Spanish.  You will also learn the fundamentals of Spanish grammar and the cultures of the different Hispanic countries.  The class consists of explanations, exercises, vocabulary and reading.

BEGINNING SPANISH III - This class is a continuation of our Beginning Spanish II class.

CONTINUING SPANISH II - This class is a continuation of our Continuing  Spanish class and covers the four language skills of listening, speaking, reading, and writing.  There is a strong emphasis on speaking and hearing the language, since the entire class is conducted in Spanish.  Students learn about the Hispanic world through reading and other activities.  The magazine, "El Sol", is used and needs to be purchased in class for $8.00.

CONTINUING SPANISH III - This class is a continuation of our Continuing Spanish  II class.

BEGINNING CHINESE I - Personalized lessons will give special attention to pronunciation and everyday language.  You will experience the most frequently used vocabulary, language patterns, and writing exercises.  Being able to communicate in Chinese and understanding the local way of life will make the business and personal trip to China much more fun and fruitful.  There is a $10.00 materials fee payable to the instructor.
