Please Note:
This program and its administration are not responsible for any activities that take place outside of the class between the teacher and participants.

Because we will complete approximately 4,000 registrations this term, no verification can be sent to you.  You are notified only for cancellations and changes.  Pre-registration is suggested for all classes.

Do not use the brochure form if registering for high school credit classes.

The GED tests and any class taken for credit or for free must be registered for in person.

Eligibility:
No person under sixteen years of age will be enrolled in adult classes (unless noted in the course description).  Enrollment of day-school students is limited to students who have junior or senior status, written permission from their principal/counselor, and full tuition each term when registering.  Students must register and attend classes prior to September 27, 2009.

Length of Program:
Number of weeks and starting date for each class can be found within the class description.

Fees:
All fees are payable at the time of registration.  Use separate check for different classes when registering by mail, in case one of your desired classes is filled.  There is no additional charge for non-residents.  There is a $30.00 processing fee on all returned checks.

Senior Citizens:
Anyone age 60 or older is eligible for a reduced rate on many classes.  Royal Oak residents may register for 20% off the listed tuition cost.  Other seniors may receive a 10% reduction.  Please note:  There are no reduced rates on classes $15.00 and under, or any supplies and/or books.

Books and Supplies:
All textbooks, class materials, and supplies are in addition to the regular class tuition, unless noted, and may be purchased the first evening of class.  Students taking credit classes may make a deposit on non-consumable books.  The deposit will be returned, by check, at the end of the semester when the books are returned.  Please note:

Cancellation of Classes:
Any person registered in a class that is canceled will receive a full refund, or have the option to transfer to another available class.  We reserve the right to close, cancel, or shorten offered classes.

Parking Facilities:
Ample parking is available at each building.  Patrons are cautioned to observe posted "No Parking" areas and restrictions.  Those attending classes at Royal Oak High School are requested to not use the parking lot at the Royal Oak Ice Arena.

Inclement Weather:
If classes must be canceled due to bad weather, listen to WJR-760 or WWJ-950 Radio from 3:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.  The decision to cancel class is made after 3:00 p.m.  Please do not call our office for information on weather closings.  When all Royal Oak Public Schools are closed during the day due to weather, Continuing Education classes will not meet that evening.
