How to Register For Classes:

You can register online. Just browse through the online brochure, add class selections to your shopping cart by clicking on the "Add To Cart" icon. We have an online registration form to use with Visa or MasterCard. Follow the easy directions to register. Sorry, we cannot accept debit cards. |

Walk-in Daytime Registration: Daytime registration is available at the Churchill Community Education Center beginning Monday, January 4, 2010. The hours are Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Walk-in Evening registration: Evening registration is available at Churchill Community Education Center beginning Monday, January 4, 2010 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Evening registration is available at Royal Oak High School beginning Tuesday, January 19, 2010 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. |

First Night Registration: Registration will also be taken the first night of classes if there are openings or the class has not been cancelled by the teacher. |
Please Note:
This program and its
administration are not responsible for any activities that take place
outside of the class between the teacher and participants.
Do not use the brochure form if registering for high school credit classes.
The GED tests and any class taken for credit or for free must be registered for in person.
Eligibility:
No person under
sixteen years of age will be enrolled in adult classes (unless noted in the
course description). Enrollment of day-school students is limited to students who have junior or senior status, written permission from their
principal/counselor, and full tuition each term when registering. Students
must register and attend classes prior to September 27, 2009.
Length of Program:
Number of weeks
and starting date for each class can be found within the class description.
Fees:
All fees are
payable at the time of registration. Use separate check for different
classes when registering by mail, in case one of your desired classes is
filled. There is no additional charge for non-residents. There is a
$30.00 processing fee on all returned checks.
Senior Citizens:
Anyone age 60 or
older is eligible for a reduced rate on many classes. Royal Oak residents
may register for 20% off the listed tuition cost. Other seniors may
receive a 10% reduction. Please note: There are no reduced rates on classes $15.00 and
under, or any supplies and/or books.
Books and Supplies:
All textbooks,
class materials, and supplies are in addition to the regular class tuition,
unless noted, and may be purchased the first evening of class. Students
taking credit classes may make a deposit on non-consumable books. The
deposit will be returned, by check, at the end of the semester when the books
are returned. Please note:
Cancellation of
Classes:
Any person registered in a class that is canceled will receive a full refund, or
have the option to transfer to another available class. We reserve the
right to close, cancel, or shorten offered classes.
Parking Facilities:
Ample parking is
available at each building. Patrons are cautioned to observe posted
"No Parking" areas and restrictions. Those attending classes at
Royal Oak High School are requested to not use the parking lot at the Royal Oak Ice
Arena.
Inclement Weather:
If classes must
be canceled due to bad weather, listen to WJR-760 or WWJ-950 Radio from 3:30
p.m. to 6:00 p.m. The decision to cancel class is made after 3:00
p.m. Please do not call our office for information on weather
closings. When all Royal Oak Public Schools are closed during the
day due to weather, Continuing Education classes will not meet that
evening.
